New Term News
We welcomed all of our new and returning learners back to the Miskin Theatre, with in person training for all.
It has been great to get back to doing what we love, with practical sessions and intensive training taking place in our studios, rehearsal rooms and workshops.
The first project of a new academic year is always exciting, this year even more so, as we missed shows and performance opportunities due to Covid last year.
Our actors, dancers, musicians and technicians have produced some amazing work this half term, and being able to perform and present them to an audience of their peers was a great experience.
First year actors performed traditional tales, telling the stories of Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, and The Elves and The Shoemaker. Dancers performed two emotional pieces. We were able to hear our musicians play live.
Miskin technicians produced installations based on Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Each installation comprised of set, props, costume, lighting and soundscape. Some groups also used projection and animation, along with some other great effects. Click here to see video footage of their work.
We look forward to seeing how all of our learners develop and flourish throughout the year!
