Alex has been involved with the Miskin Theatre for over 20 years and is now Theatre Operations Manager. He has enjoyed developing a wide range of Technical skills in Set Building, Prop making, Lighting, and Pyrotechnics and relishes the challenges that arise when staging a production.
Aside from his role at the Miskin, Alex continues to work across the industry and has been proud to work in some of the countries finest venues including the Royal Opera House and National Theatre. He has also worked on many high profile corporate events, cruise ships, Arena tours and concerts including X-Factor Live, The Brit Awards and Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. In 2012 he was privileged to work as part of the Pyrotechnic team at the London Olympics.
Alex’s other great passion is Cinema. And as well as being the Curator for the Projected Picture Trust he has a vast private collection of vintage Cinema technology. This interest has given him the opportunity to supply period equipment and provide consultancy services across the Film & TV industry, recently working on titles such as ‘Darkest Hour’ (2018), ‘Judy’ (2018), ‘The Dresser’ (2015) ‘Hugo’ (2011), and ITV’s ‘Endeavor’ (2018)
